Well done to our U14B team who were away in Holland this weekend for the Easter Open tournament.
A tough first day saw us unlucky to lose 3-1 against Essex Royals FC. Sam Kingston with our goal. Two further defeats followed against very strong Danish teams FC Skanderborg and Lyngby Boldklub. Thomas Delaney was amongst the goals.
Sunday was a different story for the team. We started strongly in a very close game, winning 2-1 against Lewis Bridgeview Pumas. Sam Power and Jay Hearne getting on the score sheet. In our second game we cruised to a 3-0 win against Constantia Wanroij. Thomas Delaney and Sam Kingston (x2) adding to their tally.
Our third game today was a very tough one as each player had tired after a long two days. But we dug in to beat SC Sint Hubert/DeWilly's 2-0 with late goals from Conor Rea and Jack Hodgers.
Stand out performances from the weekend were Reese Dunphy in goal, Jamie Gleeson centre back, Thomas Delaney giving 100% on the wings and Aaron Wymberry controlling our midfield.
The Club would like to say well done to the management team of Noel,Stephen and Paddy. Also a big thanks to all the Parents who traveled and finally a big well done to all the players who were fantastic ambassadors for Villa F.C.
